It is that time of year again: Halloween.

It is that time of year again: Halloween. Pumpkins & apples are ripe & children are trying to pick the ideal costume for the Halloween party at school or at the local community hall. Adults are eyeing that invitation they got from their friends & wondering what in the world they can dress up as this year. Witches, French maids & Harry Potter are so last year. There has to be something new & fascinating for this year, but what? How are you able to come up with a costume that everybody else doesn't think of?

Well, you could pick anime & look for an obscure character - like Folken from Escaflowne or of the least known Pokemon. Cosplay, as appearing in anime character is called, is very popular right now. make sure that you are prepared to portray who you are when you knock on a door & anyone says, "Who are YOU supposed to be?" If you have forgotten that you are Mareep, who evolves in to Flaaffy, you may not get any sweet. There's several places online where anime costumes are sold.

If TV is not your cup of tea, how about movies? Classics like the Illinois Jones movies, Star Wars, Star Trek, Lord of the Rings, all those Chick Flix - there has to be a character you can relate to in of them. Or go way back & capture Marilyn Monroe, WC Fields, Groucho or of the Stooges. Nyuk, nyuk, nyuk. Elderly cartoon characters like Bugs Bunny, Rocky & Bullwinkle, Roadrunner & Coyote can work . Everything loves them & recognizes them, so you'll have a fan base wherever you go.

TV characters are always popular, but you know that there's going to be several Grey's Anatomy characters in any adult party you go to this year. Ditto for Desperate Housewives, although you need to have the figure for it. In the event you don't, there is always The Simpson's & other 80's programs. Who could not look like Homer or Marge given the right costume? As well as a wig for Marge, of work.

You might be tempted to throw a sheet over your head & go as a ghost or wear a Hawaiian shirt & call it a costume, but that doesn't make it. If you are going to show yourself in public, make an hard work to look like SOMEONE. Even in the event you buy a mask & wear your best suit or your mother's elderly housecoat & slippers, try to get in to the spirit of the holiday.

Halloween can be fun & doesn't must cost a lot. Often, purchasing a costume online is the least expensive way to go & you can sell it on an auction site when you are done. Or you can keep it until next year & sell it then. It is worth it to look authentic than tacky. Homemade costumes usually sound like a nice suggestion, if you have waited until the eleventh hour, as usual, to come up with a costume. But procrastination shows & your friends won't be impressed in the event you show up looking like a loser from the Amateur Hour at the local Bar & Grille. Make an hard work. Start early & discover a costume that you like. Come the witching hour, you'll be glad you did.
